One of the most
often‑quoted New Testament passages is the latter part of Romans 1:17: “The
righteous will live by faith.” Paul is actually quoting the Old Testament
prophet Habakkuk (2:4b), a verse that later became a cornerstone of Martin
Luther’s Reformation theology. But how familiar are we, as 21st‑century
American Christians, with the prophet Habakkuk?
